I bought this product recently and I was surprized to see its size. From the pictures on the web it looked kind of bulky however it is no more than the size of a sandwich and surprising light too.
The setup was a cakewalk if you followed the instructions and you are online in a flash. I am very much satisfied with this product.
Great Value for Money! The difference is in the price.. the microsoft one costs $100 and the pelican one costs $70 Retail. It is supposed to do the same thing as the Microsoft wireless adapter (connect to a router) but only cheaper and without using up a usb port. |
this item isn't what those people say it is! its fantastic!

i read most of the people's reviews before i considered buying the pelican wireless adapter, but i went with what most people who considered it as well. so i got it and even though i understand peoples complaints about the pelican version other then the microsoft version is that it is hard to get it set up, but once you really get it done and functioning, even though it took me 2-3 hours to get up and working properly it was an epic great little machine!
gives great connection and i never have a connection drop ever.
in case people are wondering...
i have At&t 2wire modem with the built in router and from what i've heard its a great modem to use with the pelican one.
but seriously, consider it before the microsoft one. price wise as well as great working. |
Excellent product

| I bought this xbox 360 wireless gaming adapter from kellygaming and was extremely satisfied. it is fast easy to set up and works quite well. i was also considering the ugly xbox adapter when i found this not so ugly one. it is small and easily connects to your wireless network. GREAT PRODUCT. |
Messy setup, yet worth it.

| Before purchasing the item, i had heard it was difficult to set up. It sort of was in my case as i am not used to using wireless networks. The one i got was used and did not include a setup disk. After fumbling around with the network settings of the XBox and turning the adapter on and off, i found out that all that was needed was to physically hook up the adapter to the wireless modem, then hook it up to the XBox. It's been running like a dream and is entirely worth it, mostly if you don't want to spend the money on a Microsoft one, which i hear is somewhat better. Even though it has an AC outlet for an energy source, the adapter doesn't turn on unless the XBox is. Furthermore, space is not a big deal because it's not as big and clunky as it seems on the box. It's barely the size of a slice of bread. Excellent alternative to Microsoft adapter, highly recommended. |

| I bought one of these for my son and one for me , I must say first of all you need a Windows computer to set these up . I have all macs , but after completing that issue these little things are miracles . Im using it on my mac now to get Internet from a neighbor ( with permission ) , this pelican adaptor is the shizzle . Oh yeah and it works perfect for the 360 too , lol |

ANYONE KNOW HOW TO SETUP THIS PELICAN ADAPTER W/ XBOX 360 ON 2WIRE COMBO?
This is driving me absolutely insane!!!
Considering I do all the computer & wireless network stuff in the house, I absolutely refused to pay the ridiculous $ MS wants for their adapter & bought this one based on price & reviews. Only thing is that I cannot figure this stupid thing out to save my life & my nephew is driving me nuts trying to get it set up. Originally I had a perfect set up w/ the old SBC modem & my D-Link router, but ever since I got this AT&T 2WIRE, it seems impossible.
Got the Pelican initially set up, plugging it directly into the 2WIRE (modem/ wireless router) & configuring all the firewall ports – no problem there . . . but once I plugged the PELICAN ethernet cable back into the XBOX, I’ve got nothing. The XBOX just won’t recognize the Pelican Adapter (e.g. under Advanced Tab- Wirelss Connection is NOT available). GRRRR – So then I try manually adding the IP I had originally assigned to the Pelican – that didn’t work. Then I try the AUTO IP option – which ironically grabs the correct IP address from my 2Wire, correct subnet ask too – but still won’t connect . . . . as I check the Wireless Config & the XBOX still isn’t available (in order to choose my publicly broadcasted SSID & enter my WEP-Open pass)
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? Bought the Pelican brand new – no disk or anything to set up w/ XBOX 360, so I figured the XBOX would auto recognize it – it doesn’t. I’ve tried resetting everything a million times & I’ve configured the Pelican and even entered my SSID on one of the pages (at this point, forgot what else I’ve done since I’ve tried so many things) – but still nothing matters once it’s plugged into the XBOX – what gives?
ANYONE PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW I GET THIS PELICAN TO WORK W/ THE XBOX’s WIRELESS CONFIG????
(Gonna throw either this Pelican, the XBOX and/or my nephew right through the window really soon!!!!)
